lets think on what we think
How
beautiful this world will become if we all learn to respect one another
irrespective of position, profession, possession, place of birth, beliefs,
colour, dresses. Every work has its own value- a sweeper is as important as a
legislator or a bureaucrat, a driver is as important as a pilot or captain, a
street hawker or street vendor is as important as a well-dressed and well-spoken
delivery boy, a person who earn 300 rupees in a day is equally important as a
person who get thousands, a cobbler hold equal importance as a footwear owner
had.
But
do we respect those who do the most essential works for us? like sweeping to
keep our city and streets clean, ferrying us from one place to another on
demand, dress our hairs, grow varieties of eatables for us, provide hospitality
with smile, perhaps no! Because we are not told to or used to respect them, we
call them "chotte log", “gnde log” and
sometimes dangerous people, see them with suspicions and many more.
we have been fostered since childhood by almost every institution that one who has
a lot of money, material wealth earned by whatever means is a successful
person-badha aadmi, we all aim to become such kind of badha
admi, which is nothing but an illusion like mirage.
we
do slavery of those who do not even deserve respect and discard, insult and label
those who really deserve a dignified and respectful treatment for their
services rendered to us.
With
the time those who do not do any work or work only on record, command become Badhe
admi and grabbed big positions and those who do hard work, with no
appreciation, respect, dignity in society become chotte admi, we
can find them often sitting on the corners of cities with dejected and
disappointed face in spite of a lot of hard work.
Here
comes a great need to question our badhapan every moment we label
or rate someone for the work they do, dress they put on, colour of their skin,
money they earns, settlements where they live, language they speaks and many
more.
Thanks.
